ok. I am running ubuntu 9.04 and i tried to enable the blurred windows effect on my computer. now i am having the problem stated above. i tried your solution but it didn’t work. I dont have a live CD either any help for a poor old fool? if not then I might have to install hammer on my computer applied with much force.

Nothing worked for me and i am really struggling with this.
Can any one please explain the steps in detail.
